WINDRUSH, PAST, PRESENT AND FUTURE - THE STORY CONTINUES
'Daylight Come' is a play based upon the narratives of the generations of Windrush migrants. They answered the call to come and help rebuild the Mother Country after the Second World War and were met with indignation, racism, and ostracism. Written by Myrna Moore, and based on the true story of her own family’s voyage from the Carribean to the UK, 'Daylight Come' is a new voice to an often ignored part of British History. In recent years, these stories have become all the more important due to wrongful detentions and deportations of the Windrush generation.
